Michael A. Marino has a comprehensive area of practice including litigation as well as transactional and title work. Mr. Marino has litigation experience in Louisiana State District Courts, Appellate Courts and the Louisiana Supreme Court as well as Federal Court litigation experience. He has participated in the preparation and conduct of complex litigation involving upstream and midstream issues including litigation involving oil and gas leases; operating agreements; pipeline payments and contamination as well as litigation involving other issues arising out of midstream transactions and construction matters. In commercial litigation he has litigation experience involving general commercial litigation as well as experience in less common areas such as non-competition agreements, the Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act and the Louisiana Uniform Trade Secrets Act. He also has experience involving trust and succession litigation. His construction litigation experience includes representation of contractors in litigation with their clients as well as successful representation of a regional contractor in a dispute with a large nationally based general contractor. Although Mr. Marino’s practice is litigation focused, his litigation experience provides him with a unique approach to preparing contracts, documents and forming entities as he has first-hand knowledge of how Courts are inclined to resolve issues relevant to the client.
