The firm was founded in 1998, with its founding members, Philip E. Downer, III and Timothy W. Wilhite, having originally practiced law with the former Shreveport, Louisiana law firm of Hargrove, Guyton, Ramey and Barlow. Michael A. Marino later joined the firm. From inception, the firm has consistently assisted clients with a variety of issues, particularly matters involving oil, gas and mineral rights and general and corporate litigation. With the addition of Allison A. Jones and Pamela R. Jones, both of whom had over 30 years experience at other local firms, the firm expanded its practice to labor and employment law.
